　ここで取り上げる不整脈，上室頻拍・心室頻拍はともに発作性に出現することがほとんどである．そのため，患者にとっては非発作時には治ったものと考え違いをすることもしばしばである．しかし，基礎心疾患を有する心室頻拍は再発が即命取り(突然死)になる場合もあり，病態を丁寧に説明すると同時に，患者自ら疾患についての誤解を解き，治療に協力していただくことが重要である．
