これだけは説明しておきたい病気のはなし

心不全は単一の疾患ではなく，さまざまな心臓病が原因で起こる一連の病態，つまり症候群である．

放置すると予後が不良である．

主な症状はうっ血に基づく労作時息切れや下腿の浮腫，心拍出量の低下に基づく倦怠感や精神症状などである．
