呼吸困難

　呼吸困難を訴える患者では，患者が訴えている呼吸困難がどのような種類によるものであるのかを客観的に判断する必要がある．呼吸困難が心不全によるものなのか，あるいは呼吸器が原因となっているものなのか，心因性の呼吸困難であるかは，ある程度問診で明らかになるが，それを明らかにする診断手段として心エコー図は必須の検査である．呼吸困難とは，呼吸をするという行為に対して不快，苦痛を感じることである．それゆえ，動脈血酸素飽和度が高いことと呼吸困難は別のものであることを認識しなくてはならない．
