　経胸壁心エコー検査は，①疾患がわかっていて重症度を評価する場合，②心雑音の原因を調べるために行う場合，③胸部X線写真で心陰影が拡大しており，その原因検索のために行う場合，④術前スクリーニングなどと，その目的はさまざまである．検査中に認められた心臓内異常エコーや異常血流について，どのような病態が考えられるか，そのポイントについて述べてみる．
