●S-1は5-フルオロウラシルと比較して，少なくとも同等以上の有効性を有する．

●日本における進行・再発胃がんに対する標準的治療はS-1＋CDDP併用療法である．

●日本における胃がん術後補助化学療法の標準的治療はS-1の1年間投与である．
