●原因菌（血液培養）が判明しているかどうかが，非常に重要である．

●経験的治療は，臨床経過や人工弁か自己弁かを考慮する．

●抗菌薬は，十分量を推奨された期間投与する．

●注意深い観察のもと，血液培養の陰性化が効果判定の基本となる．
