ポイント

★著明ないびきと日中の異常な眠気（過眠）が睡眠時無呼吸症候群（SAS）の臨床徴候として最も重要である．

★睡眠呼吸障害（SDB）に臨床症状が加わった場合にSASと診断する．

★SDBの診断には睡眠検査（polysomnography，簡易型睡眠モニター）が必須である．

★SDBは1時間当たりの無呼吸と低呼吸の和（無呼吸低呼吸指数：AHI）＞5の場合に診断される．
