H. pylori感染症

　1983年にWarrenとMarshallによりHelicobacter pylori（H. pylori）が胃粘膜組織より分離培養されて以来，この30年間で上部消化管疾患の概念や診療の実態が大きく変化してきた．わが国では2013年2月に内視鏡検査において胃炎の確定診断がなされたH. pylori感染患者は「ヘリコバクター・ピロリ感染胃炎」として除菌治療を保険診療で行うことができるようになり，日常診療における重要性が増しており臨床医として十分な理解が必要である．
