◎超重症呼吸不全に対してECMOは適応となる．

◎H1N1インフルエンザはECMOの良い適応である．

◎重症肺炎による敗血症性ショックに対してもECMOは適応となりうる．

◎ECMOを導入する際には，viabilityの有無を十分に検討しなければならない．

◎ECMOによる重症患者管理は専門施設で行われるべきである．
