スタチンの肺炎予防効果

ポイント

◎スタチンは脂質異常症の治療薬であり，抗炎症作用など多面的作用を有している．

◎スタチン使用による肺炎の重症化抑制，予防効果が報告されている．

◎スタチンはIL-6やIL-8などの炎症性サイトカインの産生を抑制する．

◎上記から，スタチンは肺の過剰炎症を抑制することで肺炎の死亡率を減していることが示唆される．
