◎ドキシサイクリンとミノサイクリンはその使いやすさから頻用される可能性がある．対象としている疾患，病原体を明確に意識して使用する．

◎代表的な適応として，人獣共通感染症，性感染症，市中肺炎，MRSAが挙げられる．また，生物テロに使用される病原体への予防投薬としても使用される．
