文献概要

「感染性心内膜炎」の概念を把握する

　感染性心内膜炎（IE）は，不明熱の鑑別疾患として重要であり，その診断に身体所見や血液培養，心エコーの重要性が強調される．

　従来は剖検例から「心内膜炎」との認識が強い疾患であったが，今では「弁に付着した疣贅」を感染源とする敗血症，あるいは弁破壊により心不全をもたらす疾患という認識がなされることが多い．
