●脂質異常症を治療する意義は，動脈硬化性疾患の予防にある．
●基本は食生活の是正・身体活動増加による適正体重の維持である．
●動脈硬化性疾患予防が確立されている脂質異常治療薬は，スタチンとEPAである．
●動脈硬化性疾患予防には，脂質異常症を含めた包括的リスク管理が必須である．
