●高血圧性臓器障害のなかで最も血圧の影響を受けるのは左室肥大である．
●心電図検査による左室肥大の検出力は，再現性・特異度は高いが，感度が低い．
●心エコーは心臓の形態や機能の評価に優れており，左室肥大の検出感度も高い．
●高血圧症による早期〜長期の合併症に対して，心電図や心エコーは重要な役割を果たす．
