◎成人市中肺炎に占めるウイルス感染の割合は20％を超える．
◎成人市中肺炎に関与する主な呼吸器ウイルスはインフルエンザウイルス（A型，B型），HRV，hMPV，RSV（特に高齢者）である．
◎呼吸器ウイルスが細菌感染に合併すると，呼吸不全の増悪に関与する可能性が示唆されている．
