変形性関節症—変形性膝関節症を中心に

Point
◎変形性関節症は関節軟骨の変性・摩耗による軟骨組織の破壊に起因した，骨関節疾患のなかでも最も有病率が高い疾患である．
◎傷ついた軟骨組織は，コラーゲン線維の乱れが生じ，プロテオグリカンが失われ，ヒアルロン酸が低分子化し，軟骨細胞が減っていく．最終的には軟骨組織は剝脱・脱落し，軟骨下骨が露出する．
◎変形性膝関節症の治療は初期〜中期であれば保存療法，特にヒアルロン酸ナトリウムの関節内注入療法，大腿四頭筋訓練などの運動療法，進行期〜末期であれば手術療法を勧める．
