　Helicobacter pylori（H. pylori）感染と萎縮性胃炎，消化性潰瘍，胃癌との関連が明らかとなり，上部消化管の診療においては，まずH. pylori関連疾患を念頭に置くべきであるが，H. pylori感染と関係のない特殊な胃疾患に遭遇し診断に苦慮することがある．
　本稿では，特殊な胃炎として胃梅毒，胃結核，collagenous gastritis，好酸球性胃炎を取り上げ，各疾患について概説する．
