◎脳卒中のさまざまな危険因子を是正することが脳卒中の一次予防・二次予防につながる．
◎心房細動は脳梗塞のリスクを5倍上げることが示されており，脳梗塞の10〜15％が心房細動によるものと考えられている．
◎心房細動患者の脳梗塞リスクの層別化のためにCHA₂DS₂-VAScスコアが使用される．
◎新たな抗凝固薬（NOACs）が心房細動患者の脳梗塞予防に使われるようになってきている．
◎経皮的左心耳閉塞術（left atrial appendage closure device）は，脳梗塞予防のための新たな非薬物的療法である．
