Point
◎気管支サーモプラスティは気管支に直接，高周波電流を流すことによって，気管支平滑筋を減少させる画期的な治療法である．
◎既存の治療法でコントロールできない難治性喘息患者で，気管支鏡検査が安全に行える患者が対象となる．
◎5年間にわたって重篤な喘息発作を抑制する効果が証明されているが，元々の気道炎症を改善させるわけではない．
◎現時点では再施行できない1度きりの治療法であるため，どういった患者に有効であり，いつ施行するのが最良であるかを，今後検討する必要がある．
