◎心疾患・動脈硬化性疾患は，冠動脈CT，足関節上腕血圧比（ABI）検査，心エコー検査などにより早期発見・早期介入できる可能性がある．
◎CTによる冠動脈石灰化スコアは，特に中等度リスクの患者において虚血性心疾患によるイベントと強い相関を有し，リスク層別化の精度を上げるが，アウトカムの改善につながるエビデンスには乏しい．
◎ABI検査は広くスクリーニングに用いる根拠には乏しいが，特に有症状患者では全身の動脈硬化性疾患を拾い上げられる可能性がある．
◎心エコー検査は心臓弁膜症の診断に必要不可欠な検査であるが，ルーチンではなく一次スクリーニングで異常が認められた場合に考慮するべきである．
