Point
◎黄色ブドウ球菌菌血症の感染性心内膜炎（IE）合併例では塞栓症や心不全を生じるリスクが高く，IEが疑われる場合には積極的に心エコー図検査を施行する．
◎経食道心エコー図検査（TEE）はガイドラインでは推奨されているが，半侵襲的な検査であり必ずしも全例に施行できるわけではない．
◎心エコー図検査の限界を知り，修正Duke診断基準以外の所見の検索など，他のモダリティを併用することが重要である．
