Point
◎高ナトリウム（Na）血症の多くは，抗利尿ホルモン（ADH）の作用不足と自由水の補充障害によって起きる．
◎低Na血症は最も頻度の高い電解質異常であり，種々の疾患で死亡率を上昇させる．
◎医原性の低Na血症も多く，低張輸液や過剰な塩分制限に注意を要する．
◎低Na血症の病態の診断や治療には，尿生化学検査が重要な役割を果たす．
◎トルバプタンが抗利尿ホルモン不適合分泌症候群（SIADH）の追加適応を取得したため，その的確な診断はいっそう重要となってきている．
