Point
◎先端巨大症様顔貌の特徴的な所見（眉弓部の膨隆，鼻翼・口唇の肥大，下顎の突出など）は非常に重要な変化であるが，本人は自覚していないことが多い．
◎近年，下垂体偶発腫瘍のなかに先端巨大症が発見されることが多くなっている．
◎高血圧，耐糖能異常，糖尿病を高率に合併する．
◎小児期に成長ホルモン投与歴がある場合，成人成長ホルモン分泌不全症の再評価が必要である．
