片頭痛と認知症

　片頭痛と認知症の関連性については議論の余地があり，そのような臨床研究は非常に少ない．いくつかのpopulation-basedの観察研究が施行されており，片頭痛が認知症，特に血管性認知症のリスクであることが示されている．近年，これらの臨床研究のデータベースを基にメタアナリシスの解析が報告された．約25万人を対象とした大規模メタ解析では，片頭痛はすべての認知症のリスクを上げることが示されている（認知症リスク比1.340，Alzheimer病リスク比2.49，血管性認知症リスク比1.51）^1）．本稿では各国で示された片頭痛と認知症の関連性につき，紹介する．
