Point
◎国際頭痛分類第3版（ICHD-3）において，二次性頭痛である「物質またはその離脱による頭痛」は，「物質の使用または曝露による頭痛」，「薬剤の使用過多による頭痛」，「物質離脱による頭痛」の3つに細分化されている．
◎薬剤の使用過多による頭痛（medication-overuse headache：MOH）は，一次性頭痛をもつ患者が頭痛治療薬を頻回に服用することにより新たに起こる頭痛である．
◎MOHの発症は，心理的要因だけでなく遺伝的要因や中枢神経系の機能的・器質的変化が関連していると考えられている．
◎MOHの治療は，患者への指導を基に原因薬物の中止，中止後に起こる頭痛への対処，予防治療を行う．
