　大腸憩室および関連疾患は近年も増加している．本邦においては2017年に『大腸憩室症（憩室出血・憩室炎）ガイドライン』^1）（以下，ガイドライン）が刊行され，これまで常識とされてきた大腸憩室症に関する疫学，診断，治療，発病予防などが見直されるきっかけとなった．本項では，筆者の考える日常診療においてアップデートすべき大腸憩室に関する5つの項目を列挙し解説する．
