Point
◎体内時計の本体は,視神経が交差する視交叉上核(suprachiasmatic nucleus:SCN)に位置し,時計遺伝子により制御されている.
◎睡眠関連疾患,循環器疾患,メタボリックシンドロームなどの発症リスクにも時計遺伝子が深く関与している.
◎医薬品の添付文書などには服薬時刻が明示されている.
◎生体機能や疾患症状に日周リズムが存在するため,投薬時刻により薬物の効き方が異なる(時間薬理学:chronopharmacology).
◎本稿では体内時計の分子機構の側面から,時計遺伝子の役割や時計遺伝子を基盤にした時間薬物治療について紹介する.
