Ⅰ．はじめに

　開頭手術時に局所解剖の知識が重要であると同様に，脳血管内治療を行うには局所脳血管解剖の知識は重要である．脳血管解剖は，血管発生の過程での変異や外傷・梗塞・感染などの種々のストレスによって機能的に大きく変化するため，この動的変化を考慮した機能解剖の知識が重要である．個体発生や系統発生の知識は，その理解に大きく役立つ¹¹⁾．発生学的な背景を考えながら脳血管の機能解剖について解説する．
