脈絡裂(choroidal fissure)は側脳室内側壁における脈絡叢付着部で,脳弓と視床・間脳の間に形成される間隙であり,発生学的には胎生8週の時期にvascular pia materが終脳に陥入して形成される.側脳室は脈絡裂を介して,体部では中間帆(velum interpositum)・第三脳室,三角部では迂回槽後部・四丘体槽,下角部では脚槽・迂回槽に通じる.側脳室から脈絡裂を開放することで,これら大脳深部に到達できる.
