Ⅰ．はじめに

　近年，スポーツによる頭部外傷が注目を集めている．PubMedでsportsとhead injuryをキーワードに文献の検索を行うと，年々そのヒット数が増加している（Table 1）．

　時を経ても頭部外傷の本質が変わるわけではないが，現場におけるマネージメントの指針には大きな変化がみられる．筆者らは数年前にも本領域をレビューする機会を得たが⁶³⁾，その内容はすでに一部が陳旧化し，updateが必要である．本稿では，わが国のスポーツ現場における頭部外傷の現状を紹介するとともに，問い合わせを受けることの多い軽症頭部外傷（脳振盪）の診断と外傷後の復帰について概説する．
