Ⅰ．はじめに

　欧米の大規模無作為試験^1,7)から内頚動脈高度狭窄に対する頚動脈内膜剝離術（CEA：carotid endarterectomy）の脳梗塞予防効果は確立されており，長期効果も良好と考えられている．今回，頚動脈狭窄は全身の動脈硬化の一部分症であることも鑑み，本邦当施設におけるCEA術後10年の長期予後を検討した．
