Ⅰ.はじめに

 近年の脳機能イメージングや電気生理学的手法の発達に伴い,成人損傷脳における可塑性の存在が示され,今までなかなか解明が困難であった主に中枢神経障害による機能障害の回復のメカニズムが明らかとなりつつある.リハビリテーション(以下,リハビリ)においてもその知見に基づき,機能障害の改善や神経機能の改善を目指す新しい治療法が開発されている.本稿ではこれらのうち,特にニューロリハビリのトピックとして注目されている脳卒中による上肢機能障害に対する新たなリハビリアプローチについて概説する.
