（1）脳腫瘍疫学の変遷

Ⅰ．はじめに
　CT，MRIなどの非侵襲的検査の普及とともに，無症候性の脳腫瘍が発見されることも多くなった．これらの検査により偶発的に発見される脳腫瘍としては髄膜腫や下垂体腺腫のような良性腫瘍が多い^31,40)．その確率は1%前後と報告されているが，悪性腫瘍を含めた全脳腫瘍の罹患率を知ることは実際には困難であり，各国で行われているいろいろな脳腫瘍統計においても，治療が行われ診断が確定した症例が登録されている．本稿では，日米のデータの比較を中心に，脳腫瘍疫学の現状と変遷について検討を行う．
