(3)Astrocytic tumors(星細胞腫系腫瘍)

星細胞腫系腫瘍は神経膠腫の78%を占め(脳腫瘍全国集計調査報告第13版,2001-2004)30),細胞形態からWHO分類に基づく組織診断名と,それぞれ対応する悪性度がgrade ⅠからⅣまで規定されている.しかし近年の腫瘍分子遺伝学の飛躍的な進歩により,各組織型は必ずしも連続するスペクトラムの中の悪性区分ではなく,一部はその発生過程から別個な腫瘍として成り立つことも明らかにされてきた.本稿では,これら星細胞腫系腫瘍に関する最近の基礎および臨床的知見のトピックスを概説する.
