Point
・小児の脳は発達過程にあるため，てんかん発作が続くことによる発達の停滞・退行を防ぐべく早期に手術を検討する．
・小児の脳は可塑性があり，術後に機能喪失が想定される手術においても部分的な機能回復が期待できる場合がある．
・小児てんかん手術の目的は，発作の抑制だけでなく発達を維持・改善させ，本人や保護者のQOLを向上させることにある．
