高齢者における肺機能検査と評価

はじめに

　老化は加齢に伴う進行性の機能喪失であり，全身の臓器における生理的機能低下をもたらす．そのなかでも呼吸器系は，加齢による影響を最も顕著に受ける臓器系の一つであり，加齢に伴って呼吸器系疾患も増加する．本稿では加齢と肺機能の変化について概説し，高齢者における肺機能検査を施行する場合のポイントと，得られた成績の評価の問題点について解説する．
