はじめに

　「原発性肝癌取扱い規約」(以下，「取扱い規約」)は，1983年に第1版が発行されて以来，1987年に第2版，1992年に第3版，2001年に第4版^1）と，診断，治療の進歩とともに改訂され，この間，1997年には英語版が発行された^2）．第4版発行以来6年を経過した現在，第5版発行に向け改訂が進行中である．
