サマリー

　レストレスレッグス症候群(restless legs syndrome，RLS)は，下肢をどうしても動かしたい(ムズムズする，虫がはう)といった不快な感覚症状があり，じっとしていると症状が悪化するため，それを消そうとして足を動かす，歩き回るといった症状を呈する疾患である．症状には日内変動があり，夕方から夜に増悪する特徴をもつ．特発性のもののほか2次性のものがある．鉄やフェリチンの測定や，検査による2次性のものとの鑑別が重要である．RLSの診断基準については，そのよりよいあり方を求めて多くの検討がなされてきているが，2005年に国際睡眠学会分類第2版(ICSD-2)が発表され，小児を含めた診断基準の確立が行われた．
