CLSIが示した肺炎球菌に対するペニシリンの薬剤感受性判定基準の改訂について

はじめに

　臨床微生物検査における薬剤感受性試験の判定〔感性：Susceptible(S)，中間：Intermediate(I)，耐性：Resistant(R)〕は，多くの施設において米国臨床検査標準化委員会(Clinical and Labolatory Standards Institute：CLSI)に従った判定基準を用いている．2008年のCLSIドキュメント^1）では，肺炎球菌に対するペニシリン(PCG)の判定基準が感染症別，抗菌薬投与方法別に設けられた．また，判定の報告方法やペニシリンの投与量も記載された．この内容は2009年にも引き継がれたことから，自施設での判定基準の変更をどうするか悩んでいる施設も多いと思われる．本稿では改訂内容について述べる．
