はじめに

　わが国をはじめ先進国では3～4人に1人はがんで死ぬ．2008年，がんによる死亡者は約34.3万人に達し，死亡者数全体の30.0％を占める．がんは制御機構の破綻による自律的な細胞増殖を特徴とするが，がん患者を苦しめる症状や死は，主に浸潤・転移により引き起こされる．
