肺炎球菌性肺炎

サマリー

　肺炎球菌性肺炎は，細菌性肺炎のなかでも重症化しやすい疾患であり，特に高齢者では注意が必要である．本感染症は，適切な抗菌薬治療により容易に改善されるため，迅速かつ正確な診断が求められる．近年，尿や喀痰などを用いた肺炎球菌抗原検出キットが普及してきているが，より正診性を高めるために従来の培養試験やグラム染色などの意義は高い．また予防医学の観点から，世界に遅れてわが国でも高齢者の肺炎球菌23価ワクチン接種が広がりつつある．
