はじめに

　市中感染症のなかには，抗菌薬感受性が良好であるにもかかわらず，その病原菌のもつ毒性が極めて強く激烈な経過をとるものがある．代表的なものにA群β溶血性レンサ球菌(group A Streptococcus，GAS)による劇症型溶血性レンサ球菌感染症(劇症溶レン菌感染症)があり，経過が激烈なことから「人喰いバクテリア(flesh-eating bacterium)感染症」と呼ばれている¹⁾．
