はじめに

　肝移植は，脳死患者より全肝を移植する全肝移植と，血縁者の部分肝を移植する生体部分肝移植に分類される．わが国では，いまだ全肝移植が一般的医療としては定着していないが，生体部分肝移植は盛んに施行されている¹⁾．生体部分肝移植はその導入期には脳死肝移植実施までの緊急避難的手段と位置付けられていた．しかしながら，その後の実績の積み重ねにより，疾患や年齢に制限が付け加えられていた保険適用範囲は2004年1月から大幅に拡大し，現在では一般的な治療法として認められるようになった．肝移植は末期肝硬変に対する根本的治療として確立している．
