大腸癌の発生と遺伝子異常

“ポリープ切除の大腸がん予防に及ぼす効果の評価と内視鏡検査間隔の適正化に関する前向き臨床試験：Japan Polyp Study(JPS)”は，わが国が誇る内視鏡を基盤とした初めての大規模な多施設共同前向き比較試験(randomized controlled trial，RCT)であり，2003年2月より登録を開始した1)．2006年12月(最終登録者数：3,926名)をもって登録が完了し，現在，割り付け後のフォローアップ全大腸内視鏡検査と病理中央判定，割り付け前検査データの解析が進行中である．2004年のSanoら2)による報告や2009年のMatsudaら3)による報告もこの研究の成果である．長年わが国から報告されてきた表面・陥凹型大腸腫瘍(de novo癌の候補)の重要性が，この研究で明らかになるであろう．同研究は2012年完了予定と記述されている．
