ROC分析

検査の診断的有用性を簡潔明瞭に図示できる受信者操作特性(receiver operating characteristic，ROC)分析が，わが国の臨床検査医学領域で紹介されたのは1980年代後半である．しかし，その普及は遅々としたものであった．医学中央雑誌での検索結果を指標とすると，「臨床検査」領域においては2000年以前は“ROC分析”をキーワードとする原著論文はわずか10編，2001～2005年でも77編に過ぎなかったが，2006年以降は200編を超える日本語論文が発表されるようになり，わが国でも解析手法として定着してきた．一方，ROC分析には背景とする臨床研究や分析手法に内在する問題点が近年指摘されている．
