ノロウイルス胃腸炎

Point

● ヒトノロウイルスは急性胃腸炎の原因ウイルスであり，わが国では毎年11～2月にかけて流行する．電子顕微鏡下に直径30～38nmで認められ，ウイルスでは小さい部類に属す．

● 2000年代になってからは，GroupⅡの4型（GⅡ.4）が流行を形成する主要な流行株であり，新変異型が出現すると，ヒト集団下で大流行を引き起こす．

● 本稿では，ノロウイルスのウイルス学的特徴，疫学，ワクチン開発の現状について述べ，筆者の研究成果を紹介する．
