臨床現場から教育現場へ—地方の中小規模病院でも研究はできる！

入職から現在まで（表1）

　私は，高知県の3年制短期大学を卒業後，愛媛県の国立病院（現・国立病院機構）に就職しました．当時，世間はまだバブルに浮かれていましたが，臨床検査技師の求人は極めて少なく，私はパート職員での社会人スタートとなりました．運よく翌年から正職員として雇用され，就職4年目に香川県の国立病院に転勤となりました．ちょうどその頃に3年制の専門学校・短期大学の卒業者が，放送大学で単位を取得して，研究論文を学位授与機構（現・大学改革支援・学位授与機構）に提出することで学士を取得できる制度が開始されました．私もその制度を利用して28歳で学士（保健衛生学）を取得できました．香川県の国立病院に12年間勤務した後に，教員として香川県立保健医療大学に赴任しました．そこで4年間お世話になっている間に香川大学大学院の博士課程を修了し，39歳にしてようやく博士（医学）の学位を取得することができました．次に愛媛県の大学に6年間勤務し，2016年度より神戸大学大学院の准教授として教育と研究に従事しています．したがって2017年度末時点の私のキャリアは，病院勤務15年，教員12年となります．
