Summary

　Lancefield分類で同定される溶血性レンサ球菌のうち，A群，C群およびG群として同定される菌種は複数の病原因子をもつため病原性が高く，急性咽頭炎をはじめとした上気道感染症から，重篤になれば発熱性疾患をはじめショックや筋膜壊死などの全身性疾患を起こすことが知られている．そのため，一早い同定結果が求められ，患者の予後は微生物検査技師の力量に左右されると言っても過言ではない．今回はA，CおよびG群溶血性レンサ球菌について解説する．
