Ag-NORs染色法とその有用性

はじめに

　染色体の核小体（仁）形成部位（nucleolar organizer regions：NOR）を特異的に染色する方法としてNOR染色がある．ヒトのNORsは5対の端部着糸型染色体（第13，14，15，21および22番染色体）の短腕二次狭窄部に存在し，rRNA（ribosomal RNA）前駆体の生成に関与する．これに関連する蛋白は，強い銀親和性を有することからコロイド銀液により細胞核内ドットとして観察され^1），Ag-NORsと称されている．
