グラム染色で染色されない病原菌

Point

●グラム染色で病原菌が確認できないときには，検体の質は適切か？グラム染色で不染・難染性の病原菌が感染症の原因ではないか？を考える．

●非定型肺炎の起因菌であるMycoplasma spp.，Chlamydia spp.，Legionella spp.はグラム染色に不染・難染性である．

●グラム染色で病原体が観察できないときに，“いない”とすぐに結論づけるのではなく，臨床背景や特徴から，臨床検査技師が病原体の存在を疑い診断につなげる必要がある．
